Director: Mr. HolmbergHey everyone, if you're trying to find out more about me you've come to the right place.
First of all I am from the middle of nowhere, and for comparison, this is where you live (mostly): Kernserville. As you can see there is not a whole lot going on. This led to learning the most marvelous instrument, the tuba. I am a tuba player and have been so since 4th grade (for those of you trying to do the math I started in 1998). I went to UNC Greensboro where I studied with Dr. Askew (tuba), Dr. Walter (instrumental/band education), and Dr. MacLeod (instrumental/string education). Following college I started teaching at East Forsyth High School, Walkertown High School, and Glenn High School. In 2013 Glenn offered me a full time position and I took it, becoming the only High School Orchestra Director in the county at one school. In other new, I take part in Tough Mudder Events (see picture on the right), and I got married on August 7th, 2014 (see picture above). |
